Tomato Clown Fish (Amphiprion frenatus)

These pictures show a Tomato Clown Fish (Amphiprion frenatus) inhabiting a small patch of anemone. The adult fish is bright orange-red, with a white head bar or vertical stripe just behind the eyes, joined over the head and with a distinctive black outline. Females are mainly blackish on the sides. Males are considerably smaller and are red overall.

The females, tried to deliver attack to my camera or fins during my attempts to document them. Probably, I was disturbing their privacy, LOL.

In general this species shares general characteristics with A. melanopus and A. rubrocinctus.

I shot this couple on a dive in Cape Maeda, Okinawa, Japan using a Canon G12 and underwater housing.
